January has been deemed National Hot Tea Month, with the 12th being National Hot Tea Day. My grandmother believes that tea is the answer to everything. Do you have a cold? Drink a hot tea. Are you having a stressful day? Hot tea will fix that. Is a friend coming over? Make a pot of tea. Hot tea originated long ago in China and has been one of the most important drinks in the world ever since. Many use it as a morning coffee replacement and some say that it even redefined British culture. The world of tea is incredibly complex. There are many types: mint tea, green tea, black tea, chai tea and many, many more. Attached to each type of tea are a number of added health benefits. Not sure how to celebrate National Hot Tea Month? That’s alright—that’s what we are here for. Here are 31 ways you can celebrate this delicious, health-conscious month. Now go curl up with your favorite book or turn on your favorite movie and brew a nice hot cup of tea. I promise you won’t regret it.
