Music.
Many of us have a secret love-hate relationship with music. Certain songs spark specific memories, others create this deep urge to run a marathon or jump in the boxing ring. Either way, music is an important factor that plays into our daily lives. Have you ever caught yourself drumming on a table top with your pen in hand, or caught a glimpse of yourself head-bobbing to the beat of catchy song? There has got to be some psychological theories to it all, but I’m not here to break all that down. I’m just here to reminisce on the fact that music is a huge deal – it can affect our mood and drive our determination to get things done. My big question for you… What stirs you in the world of music? Have you ever wanted to learn a new instrument? Guitar, piano or violin perhaps? Don’t let another day go by… start learning to play now, so that even more memories can be made.
Not the formal musician-type? No worries! We can all take some time to appreciate the creativity that others express through music. Lyrics, or no lyrics… music still has an impact. So whether you continue being the awesome pen-drummer or professional head-bopper, carry on my friend. Find unique ways to create your own music… it’s good for the soul.
